Atlanta Kendo Kai had some great results from the 2016 SEUSKF Tournament and Testing!

AKK Team A (Jonathan Oliver, Reiko DeSouza, Ryoko Barr, Victor Koh, Pavel Litterbach) – 3rd Place
Pavel Litterbach – 3rd Place 4th Dan and above
Reiko DeSouza – 2nd Place Women
Ryoko Barr – 3rd Place Women

Victor Koh passed 4th Dan
James Barthelemy passed 1st Kyu
Alfonso Garza, Rae Jobe, Stephen Jobe, and Jenn Davis passed 4th Kyu

Our members had a great time at the All Florida Tournament this past weekend! Thank you very much to Maeda-sensei and the UCF for hosting a great event. And thank you to Ro-sensei from Tampa, Becerra-sensei from Tokubukan, and Kataoka-sensei from NYC for your help and advice. It was great to see you and to learn from you all.

Here are the results for Atlanta Kendo Kai members:

AKK placed 1st in the team event. Our team included Ryoko Barr-sensei, Jonathan Oliver, Victor Koh, and guests members James Kim-sensei from Triangle Kendo and Yong Back from Washington Kendo Club.

Ryoko Barr-sensei placed 1st in the women’s division.

Victor Koh placed 2nd in the shodan to 3 dan division.

And in testing, both Claire Kim and Shea Dodson passed 3rd kyu.
